Second day in Geneva (Avril 2013)

Second day in Geneva

First running early morning with the bravest ones at 7h45 (around 30min for 3.9 km).

After a huge delicious breakfast we took the Tramway to go to UNHCR (the office of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) where we were told about the main actions of this organisation and their purposes. We also learnt what the status of refugees actually means.

Then we split into two groups : one went to the supermarket to buy food while the other went to find a place for the pic-nic in front of the Ariana museum which is a glass and ceramic museum. The sun was really shining and it was very hot.

At 2 o’clock we went to UNO where we had a guided visit, even though not all the conference rooms were opened. We saw a beautiful sealing made by a spanish artist to celebrate the declaration of the Human rights. We were really impressed by the size of the conferences rooms.

While we were waiting for the tramway some students refreshed themselves in the funtains. Then one group went to the swimming pool while the second group walked to the beach, and we had a lot of fun. In the evening we played games and it was an amazing day.
